Tying a Taekwondo belt correctly is an important part of the martial art. The belt signifies the rank of the wearer and is used to keep the uniform in place. There are several different ways to tie a Taekwondo belt, but the most common method is the “square knot.” This knot is simple to tie and secure, and it can be used with any type of belt.
To tie a square knot, start by placing the belt around your waist with the ends of the belt hanging down in front of you. Cross the right end of the belt over the left end, then bring the right end up through the loop created by the left end. Pull the right end down to tighten the knot. Now, take the left end of the belt and cross it over the right end. Bring the left end up through the loop created by the right end. Pull the left end down to tighten the knot. Your belt should now be securely tied in a square knot.
