Knowing when you followed someone on Instagram can be useful for various reasons. Perhaps you’re trying to declutter your feed and want to unfollow accounts you don’t interact with anymore, or maybe you’re curious about how long you’ve been following a particular account. Whatever the reason, Instagram doesn’t make it immediately clear when you started following someone. But with a little digging, you can find out.
One way to see when you followed someone on Instagram is to check your Following list. To do this, tap on your profile picture in the bottom right-hand corner of the Instagram app, then tap on ‘Following’. Here, you’ll see a list of all the accounts you follow, in chronological order. The oldest accounts you follow will be at the top of the list, while the most recent ones will be at the bottom. If you scroll through your Following list, you should be able to find the account you’re interested in and see when you started following them.
