The Importance of Saving Tonex
Tonex is a critically endangered species of freshwater fish found only in the upper Tennessee River basin. The species has been in decline for decades due to habitat loss, pollution, and overfishing. As a result, Tonex is now listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act.
