Embedding a YouTube video into Canvas allows instructors to easily share video content with their students. Embedded videos can be used to supplement lectures, provide demonstrations, or share additional resources. To embed a YouTube video into Canvas, follow these steps:
- Locate the YouTube video you want to embed and copy the URL.
- In Canvas, navigate to the page or module where you want to embed the video.
- Click on the “Add Content” button and select “External Tool”.
- In the “External Tool” window, paste the YouTube video URL into the “URL” field.
- Click on the “Add Tool” button.
The YouTube video will now be embedded into the Canvas page or module. Students can click on the video to watch it.
